PISTACHIO

In the Middle East, pistachios were already consumed and appreciated.

It was probably wild fruit. Then, the pistachio would have arrived among the Greeks and the Romans who would have contributed to its development in Europe from the 1st century.

Today, several countries cultivate pistachios, but Iran has always produced it in large quantities, such as in California.

It is easy for growers to know when to harvest these fruits: the pistachio shell opens naturally when it is ripe.

Many nutrients: copper, vitamin B6, phosphorus, iron, manganese, vitamin B1, vitamin K, zinc, magnesium, potassium ...

Dietary fibers: excellent for intestinal transit, they promote appetite, prevent constipation and prevent cardiovascular disease

Antioxidants: they protect the cells of the body and fight against aging, disease, hypertension, certain cancers ...

Unsaturated fatty acids and phytosterols: they reduce the level of "bad" cholesterol.
